  • Potassium dihydrogen phosphate: 1.5 g/L
  • Sodium chloride: 5.0 g/L
  • MUG (4-methylumbelliferyl-β-D-glucuronide): 0.05 g/L

The final pH of the medium is 6.8 ± 0.2 at 25℃, providing an optimal environment for E. coli growth.

Usage Instructions

To prepare EC-MUG , suspend 37.0 g of the medium in 1 L of distilled water. Sterilize it by autoclaving at 115℃ for 20 minutes. Following these instructions ensures that you achieve accurate and reliable results in your E. coli testing procedures.
